Over several years Dan Keeton has performed with such artists as: The Blackwoods, The Impacts, and The Dixie Melody Boys. Dan is currently forming a new Southern Gospel group to be based in Ashland, KY.

"I just feel that the time is right. I have written lots of new songs, and I'd like to deliver these songs to the fans in the very best light possible. The creation of a quality group as opposed to a soloist just makes good sense, and seems to be the overwhelming consensus of southern gospel fans"

DAN KEETON RETURNS HOME


RUSH, KENTUCKY - SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2007

In July of 2004, after 24 years of singing with other music ministries, which include 8 years of traveling the U.S. with his family group, Dan Keeton was hired by the Dixie Melody Boys. After three years plus, with Ed O’Neal, Dan has graduated EOU (Ed O’Neal University) and is returning home to Ashland, Kentucky.

"I have been blessed beyond measure. As a young singer I always dreamed of singing with a group the caliber of The Dixie Melody Boys. Dreams do come true. It has been an honor to stand beside a man with the character of Ed O'Neal. I have gone places most only dream of. I have also had the privilege of singing with some of the greatest young singers Southern Gospel has to offer.

As a young boy I was told I would never become anything. I was told, that going thru child abuse, a foster home, and divorce of my parents would eventually send me to prison, I would become an alcoholic or a drug addict. But God had other plans. I was saved across the street from my grandmothers house in a tent meeting, I found my heroes in her box of Gospel music cassettes and I would later become the Tenor Singer for one of the most widely respected Gospel quartets of our time. God surely has his hand on my life."

Dan is forming Star Hill Productions (a multimedia studio and publishing company) in Rush, KY and is continuing his first love, sharing with everyone, his story: how God tranformed a terrorized little boy through Southern Gospel Music, into a highly successful American Tenor.
